Quartz and quartzite are the dominant counter choice across the Capital Region for their durability and how they photograph; solid maple or white oak cabinetry with a painted or stained finish pairs well and holds up to Albany winters better than thinner veneer work. Tile, flooring, hardware, and lighting decisions each get their own consultation — you're making real choices, not clicking through a catalog.
